How do you practice self-care?
I and the mirror in conversation: I : Whose the prettiest girl in the world. Mirror : The current Miss Universe. I wrinkle my nose, raise my eyebrows and pout out , I thought you might say Me . After all I ensure your well being, who else will wear such dazzling, mesmerizing dresses, accessories everyday and stand in front of you.

Mirror: Oh you are not a girl , you should have been specific, middle aged married women, I would have definitely named you . I walk off in a huff from my bedroom and vow to change my mirror šŖ.

My wardrobe seems my forlorn face and cajoles me into a conversation. That grumpy mirror which itself is ageing and creaking in the sides , ignore his snide remarks, of course you are the most beautiful , elegant girl, and the proof is see, how I am bursting in the seams , now if packages from Amazon or Myntra come , I will collapse under my own weight.

I silently curse the wardrobe for not expanding like my waist . How unfair is it , we stuff little food and our waist expands, and do the same with your wardrobe and it shrinks and protests .

My resplendent and colourful salwar kameez suits, lovely colorful dazzling Punjabi suits my defiant alluring crop tops showing off my midriff, my must have and most prominent running shorts , Classy, sensuous and versatile sarees, Such exquisite western dresses my glamorous, chic A line classy one piece dresses and jumpsuits, the crowded skirts, my halter pants and bequiling stretched jeans beautiful long skirts, stylish trousers, pleasing formal shirts ,my backless enchanting but elegant evening gowns and last but not the least my ethnic ghagras and chaniya choli captivating lehangas all form part of my self care .

The riot of colours of my dresses is discerning to eyes .
The mysterious blacks, the serene whites, the ablaze reds, the uplifting oranges, the calm blues, the mysterious purples, the verdant greens, the sunshine yellow, the resilient browns, the neutral grays, the innocent pinks and the exotic coral, fuschia, aquamarine, plum , olives and on and on and on .

Dressing up gives me confidence and vigour to start my day š

Surekha, I think, you have redefined ‘Narcissism’ in a novel way. The end result is happiness and joy to self. I loved the spirit that keeps you cheerful that most people self deprive themselves for the reasons best known to them. I find your blogs colourful, trendy and full of life. I thoroughly enjoy your blogs. Keep posting. God bless.
