Did you never love me ? Did I imagine all the love you felt for me? Did you never lovingly touch the strand of my hair and push it behind my ear ? Did you never send me all those thoughtful gifts chosen with so much love and affection ? Did you never say ‘ I am your queen’ ? Did you never say ‘our love is forever’ ? Did you never say ‘that the songs I send you soothe you at the end of a hectic day ‘? Did you never say ,’ I am the best thing that has happened to you ‘? Did you never call me umpteenth time if I fought with you and not receive your call ? Did you never say that we were meant to be together even though we met so late ? Did you never, say ‘ kithi kithi surekh ( beautiful) ‘ ? Did you never, ever forgive me for all my mistakes ? Did I imagine all of this or were you a mirage who at the slight darkening of a cloud in the sky , disappeared like the storm before the rains .
