Did you never

Did you never love me ? Did I imagine all the love you felt for me? Did you never lovingly touch the strand of my hair and push it behind my ear ? Did you never stroke my cheek in a child-like manner ? Did you never spend hours either talking, messaging or calling me on video ? Did you never uplift my mood when I was low and down ? Did you never cheer me for any of my smallest achievements ? Did you never call me your soul mate ? Did you never say , ‘it was our destiny that we met ‘? Did you never look after me, worrying about what I eat or drink ? Did you never make this independent person I have turned into ? Did you never make me realise that true love is always selfless and forgiving ? Did you never spend hours gazing into my eyes , whispering softly that my eyes are mesmerizing ? Did you never send me all those thoughtful gifts chosen with so much love and affection ? Did you never say ‘ I am your queen’ ? Did you never say ‘our love is forever’ ? Did you never say ‘that the songs I send you soothe you at the end of a hectic day ‘? Did you never say ,’ I am the best thing that has happened to you ‘? Did you never call me umpteenth time if I fought with you and not receive your call ? Did you never say that we were meant to be together even though we met so late ? Did you never, say ‘ kithi kithi surekh ( beautiful) ‘ ? Did you never, ever forgive me for all my mistakes ? Did I imagine all of this or were you a mirage who at the slight darkening of a cloud in the sky , disappeared like the storm before the rains .

  2. Oh… that’s a lot of complaints and are openers for me as well. My wife never complains but I think, I need to take a clue from your blog and say it sometimes… It really matters. Thanks for the realisation.
