What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?
My country is the land of many religions but all of them reach only one almighty.
My country is the land of many states but all of them are part of this one country India.
My country is the land of many festivals but all of them spread joy and happiness.
My country is the land of many languages and dialects, in fact it is said , every 50 to 100 kms, but all of them speak only in the tone of peace and harmony.
My country is the land of many attires and apparel but all of them identify and adorn every one of us.
My country is the land of many cuisines but all of them satiate our taste buds and nourish us.
My country is the land of many genres of music but all of them soothe our souls and take us in a trance like state.
My country is the land of many cultures and customs but all of them promote “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ” .
My country is the land of many quirks and idiosyncrasies, but all of them disseminate love and blessings.
My country is the land of many shortcomings and imperfections but all of us are aware of them and acknowledge and accept them.
My country’s rich and unparalleled rich and ancient heritage is my pride and I proudly wear it on my sleeves ❤️❤️
Unity in Diversity is what makes my country unique and powerful.

I so agree Surekha. That is my idea of India. And that is hard to match with its history of enforced division and partition by external forces and the use of force to limit diversities in the Modi regime. You may not agree? I may need educating. X

What you said is 💯. And I agree the India I painted looks like a Mirage in today’s time where Majoritarianism is the flavour and moderate or liberal views are hard to find. But Steve I am a dreamer and a hopeful person who believes what is happening is an aberration and the India I hope will become a reality soon.
